Streetluge is the fastest one. You laid on it, feet forward. You use your body to turn (lean in the corner) and use your feet to stop. Of course we stick car's tires under the shoes to slow down. Maxi speed can be 140km/h. See the video, you will understand. I've always been in the top 5 but I never won any contests. My best rank was 3 in 2004 for the Final French cup, 4 in 2005 during a French cup and my best perf this year is 3. Video:

Classic
skate: It means downhill longskate. The most difficult. You
need a good balance. You put pressure on your toes or hills
if you want to make a backside or frontside turn. In the
hairpins, you have to bend your knees to grab the board. You
have 2 possibilities to stop: the drop foot. Put one foot on
the road to slow down or the slide: bend your knees, grab
the board and turn your shoulder to put the board across the
road then slide. Maxi speed can be 95km/h and sometime
110km/h for the best riders. |

Inline
skate: It's rollerblading. Not too many things to explain.
How to stop
slide, inline across the road, but it's
really hard. Average speed is around 90km/h. It was my first gravity sport. It was great fun. Sponsors used to give lots of money and organized big contest in the street of Paris, Marseille, Lyon and Lausanne. Watch the video; I'm the guy with the big white helmet on the right side with the arm in the "strap". Video:
